I remember the push, years ago, to ‘buy Australian’. A green Kangaroo logo was the endorsement of an Australian product and I did my bit where I could.
Perhaps I didn’t read the fine print but reckoned I was buying as advertised and that Australia knocks out some pretty good stuff. ‘Made in Australia’ now looks to have varied definitions.
With labour, product content and packaging combining as a single unit, just how much ‘Made in Australia’ applies seems a little floaty. Some examples of ‘Made in Australia‘ are shown below.
Words for today; 100% Australian Made ?

Indeed Bruce, what does it mean these days. Diddly squat

Well our PM Scott Morrison (around election time) that he wants to revisit the Made in Australia campaign. Hope he does although where it sits on the priority list I don’t know.

Don’t set me off, Bruce. Target recently had the choice of sourcing plastic containers from Decor which is Australian or from China! (Sorry I can’t remember the brand name.)
