On May 19, 2020 I was in Raymond Terrace, NSW. This Autumn day was mild, sunny and summer like hazy. I had a few minutes before an appointment and took these images just a few paces from where I parked.
To my right, a bridge. Straight ahead, a hazy rural scene. To my left, a conversation. Maybe only the seating was convenient, but I wondered if this was a good example of safely talking with a friend. It looked the part.

On July 7, I was again at Raymond Terrace, same area. No handy spots this time but found one a short walk away, beside the river/park.
Again, it was a fine, warm Autumn day. It was clear that more people were out and about with the easing of COVID-19 lockdown restrictions. Lunch on the grass, kids on bikes, groups of people here and there. Easy breathing for a change.
Walking back, I had to pass the Junction Inn Hotel. I heard the crowd before seeing it. I looked up as I walked beside the riverside dining/social area and it was pretty full and close, sitting down and standing. Maybe they were all from the same gigantic family? It was a welcome sight but maybe not a good one virus wise.
Not long after this day, the Crossroads Hotel hit the headlines with a COVID-19 outbreak. Nothing about the Junction Inn so far, which is good news.
Words for today; Life – difficult and different for a while.
More to come; same blog time, same blog channel
You know, Bruce, when all this began, it felt surreal. I didn’t take it seriously at first. Then we in Victoria had five minutes of freedom. And it felt surreal to be free and, rightly so, I couldn’t take it seriously. Those idiots at Junction Inn deserve a kick up the fundament.

It made me wonder Mary. I’m not sure of the rules for pubs and clubs; you know, like so many square metres per person etc. What I could easily see though from just a few metres away, was the 1.5 jive wasn’t happening. It must be driving you crazy in Vict, I hope it doesn’t spill over to NSW

Reblogged this on A Wondering Minstrel I and commented:
It’s not the meek, but the idiots who have inherited the earth.

Pictures tell it all. What would you do with the 2 women from Victoria, now infecting QLD. They are not “young girls” as I heard one radio announcer say. It is a terrible criminal offense by adults!!

Apparently they were in Victoria to organise theft of designer handbags. Definitely not sweet young innocents.
