I’m On Fire – Bruce Springsteen 1984

Here’s an old favourite, with lyrics shown below.

Words for today; It’s Saturday night – almost a good way to finish

More to come; same blog time, same blog channel

Lyrics

I’m on Fire

Hey little girl, is your daddy home?
Did he go away and leave you all alone? Mhmm
I got a bad desire
Oh oh oh, I’m on fire

Tell me now, baby, is he good to you?
And can he do to you the things that I do? Oh no
I can take you higher
Oh oh oh, I’m on fire

Sometimes it’s like someone took a knife, baby
Edgy and dull and cut a six inch valley
Through the middle of my skull

At night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet
And a freight train running through the middle of my head
Only you can cool my desire
Oh oh oh, I’m on fire
Oh oh oh, I’m on fire
Oh oh oh, I’m on fire

Woo ooh ooh
Woo ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh
Woo ooh ooh
Woo ooh ooh

  1. I don’t know this song, Bruce. In case I haven’t said it often enough,I love being able to understand the lyrics. ☺️

    • Ok Mary sorry about that. I had trouble only with the second verse, trying to make out the words. But it’s a track I really like. Maybe it’s a guys type track.
