Donald Trumps the sceptics – I wonder?

Well, not 24 hours after winning the American Presidency, demonstrations outside the Chicago Trump Tower have been held, protesting his win.

The doom and gloom for Trump’s success was/is hard to ignore with a reference I spotted even predicting WW3.

Yet, the majority of American voters placed him in the White House and voting is not compulsory in the U.S.A. Isn’t that what their country is about?

It will be interesting to see how it goes. Can a U.S. President be given the boot if he/she proves themselves not up to the job? Their constitution should have it covered I guess.

At least Russia’s President Putin will be happy. Apparently he thinks Mr Trump is okay, though I’m not convinced this is a good thing as I’m not a fan of Mr Putin.

President Obama (a good guy I reckon) appears to have seen the writing on the wall and uttered words of comfort for post election results. He assured voters that ‘the sun will rise in the morning’ and America will continue to be the ‘greatest nation on earth’. I think I get his meaning although it’s a claim to fame laced with perhaps, unintended arrogance. Check the video link below.

Here’s a thought or two, another point of view;

  1. I’m not as convinced as you, Bruce, that Obama is a good guy. Obama rode in on a wave of yes we can, but couldn’t. He has been a do nothing president.
    I’m not sure about Trump, everyone has an opinion, but as the saying goes, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. However, given the violent outbreak in the US in response to the Trump election, I am sure that the left is doing what it does best. A democratic win doesn’t count with them. It’s either their way or the highway. Interesting times ahead, Bruce, don’t you think?

    • Yes Mary, I agree; is there turbulence ahead? Will it affect Aus? I don’t know anything of Obama really other than he doesn’t seem to be a jerk. What he achieved, if anything, might not even be known by his countrymen/women (countrypersons?). I know he expanded Medicare from some skeletal form and kept the country running and out of confrontations that could have become WW3. Which party does the left represent Mary? Trump used to be a Democrat but switched camps.

      • Turbulence plus, Bruce, if what I’m reading online is true. Anti Trump protesters are beating up the bejesus out of pro Trump protesters in broad daylight.
        The Nobel Prize winner for peace has okayed Iran developing a nuclear bomb. Can you imagine it? A region where people have been at each other for centuries? There’s a potential world war three for you.

        But unlike what’s going on in the US right now, heck, the great thing is that you and I are entitled to agree to disagree. (And still respect each other.)
        The left represents those who believe that if you don’t speak as they do on any issue, you have no right to an opinion.

  2. Dear Bruce, you shouldn’t be forced to keep my rants on your blog. I see you didn’t know what to make of them and having thought it through, neither do I.

    • I thought I’d play it safe Mary and hit the like button. Seems you managed to see through my failed attempt to suitably reply. Don’t worry about any rants Mary, I reckon they’re just fine.

      • Didn’t see through anything, Bruce, I’m not that clever. It’s just when the red mist rose (it’s where I live lately) I was pretty shocked that I’d gone overboard on someone else’s blog. 🍏

      • Rant anytime Mary. I hope the red mist clears for you.
